Woman is made in the form of the pale faced goddess.
Man is made in the form of the old horned god.
It’s documented from the witch trials that the ‘magister’ of certain covens were regarded as the ‘de-vil’. Only the magister could stand in for the old horned god in certain rituals. Before history, the old horned god existed, depicted in cave paintings and known globally in prehistoric times. At the dawn of civilization the ‘old god’ took on the form of the Sumerian goddess Inanna. Since then Inanna’s downfall has not only been a symbolic representation of the damnation of the feminine reflected through the suppression and condemnation of Venus and the Moon but the old horned god, the devil himself, was damned, being of the core essence of masculinity as well. In essence sex itself was outlawed by unnatural religion and along with it the gods and goddesses of fertility and progenity regardless of gender became “demons” in the Pisces age (out of the word ‘daemon’ originally meaning nature-spirit). While Pan was preserved and worshipped from ancient Greek times and carried on through secret pagan practice, his nature of being the progenitor of humanity and the provider of life’s fertility was drowned out by the forces that sought to condemn our origin as being “fallen”, and the Earth as being a prison if not a total mistake.
In ancient Celtic tradition the elder lead male of a coven would take on the spirit of the old horned god and be ritualistically sacrificed not merely as a symbol but as an act of death and resurrection connected with the life-force and wellbeing of the clan and its relation with the forces of nature. As time and humanity evolved such human sacrifice was made unnecessary but the rituals have continued and been replaced with subtler, humane, but just as intentional sacrifices. This ritual marked the death of the Old King and the birth of the Young King who the old king would be reborn into, inhabit and so continue.
Woman is made in the form of the pale faced goddess, the Moon. Without man honoring her constant flux of seasons there would be no womb to hold the seed of life. Like how the ever stirring ocean housed and birthed all life on the planet, so the cauldron, the womb, the Moon, is an ever-shifting mutable force that through spinning the whirlwind of life also hosts and houses all of life within herself.
Man is made in the form of the old horned god. He is to be a living sacrifice for woman / the seasons. He is her protector, provider and shield. Without woman honoring his outpouring, his being bled out, the sacrifice of his core life-force there can be no healthy progeny. With hooves both on the Earth and in the molten Earth’s core he holds erect the pillar of ascent and descent and runs his sacrificed life force as the engine locomotive driving the whole cosmological order into existence, to and from, union and separation from source.
How have we lost the essence of masculinity along with the feminine through the highly distorting period where unnatural religion was able to successfully possess the collective human mind? We can name and clearly see distorted Pan in our world: He is a villain, stealing and raping without any slight care or consideration. He has been damned at the very core of himself, disconnected from the lost feminine and castrated from his own essence, therefore with nothing to lose he cannot hold moral ground. He has none of the original calm, stable, rock-like essence of himself. Rather, he grabs onto whatever he can get his hands on instinctually, as if there were nothing outside of himself, and as if there are no consequences to his actions. Distorted Pan needs to go through the ritual death and resurrection that would allow the crimes of his forefathers and generations of abuse to be washed away through the being witnessed, giving and surrendering of his life back to nature. Yet because we are in a dead culture without roots in life-sustaining nature, and without any education on the alchemical act of sexual purification as an offering back to life itself, generation upon generation of brutality piles upon men and women alike becoming cesspools of inescapable cyclic abuse.
