- Q: What exactly do you do? How do you define your energy healing work?
- A: Every energy healer is going to have a unique modality and flavor for how they heal and what they use in their work. I combined traditional reiki, sound healing, shamanic/ alchemical healing and guided visualizations to help clients find and release the root cause of existing emotional blocks, outdated belief patterns, traumas, stress, etc. My job is not to “heal people” but rather to provide a sacred space for each person to feel safe enough to let go of anything that is no longer serving their highest good, which allows for the client to receive extra clarity and guidance through their own life experience. Being empathic, I am very aware of the emotional body and use this gift as a way to consciously guide healing energy and awareness into the “shadows” or undiscovered areas of the human psyche.
- Q: How can I do prepare for a healing session?
- A: My healing work largely depends on the willingness of the client to be open to their own healing. Clients are free to direct the focus of the healing if they wish, so it is always a good idea to have a general intention about what you hope to gain from a session. The more time the client spends in meditation and reflection before their session the better!
- Q: What will a healing session feel like?
- A: The best description I’ve heard so far is that energy healing feels like you are receiving an “energetic massage.” Most people feel a deep sense of relaxation that helps them stay in a meditative state. Those who are sensitive to energy may feel various sensations as I work, such as hot or cold sensations as well as deep emotional release, which is typical of energy being shifted and old belief patterns dissolved.
- Q: How long do you recommend waiting between sessions?
- A: I recommend that clients book a session about every 4-6 weeks—unless they’re recovering from an illness, emotional trauma or surgery, in which case I’ll see them more often. It takes about 4 weeks for the energy to fully resonate through the subtle and physical body systems.
- Q: What should I wear to a healing session?
- A: Wear whatever you find comfortable and relaxing, as you would for a massage or yoga.
- Q: What should I expect after receiving a healing session?
- A: Everyone is different, but the majority of my clients say they feel much lighter after a session. This type of healing work helps dissolve and transform old subconscious belief patterns that are often in the form of thoughts and emotions, so many people experience some kind of emotional release in the following days or weeks after their session. These releases are always a good sign, as it means we are moving forward and the energy medicine is working. I highly recommend people book their sessions on days that they do not have any else going on. After two hours of this type of energy work, it is important to allow your body, mind and soul time to regroup, relax, and be pampered with a nice salt bath! Also, HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!
